Te Tūranga | About the role

We’re looking for an experienced asset information specialist to help us build, improve, and run the systems and data that we rely on to make good decisions about Parks and Recreation spaces. You’ll own data quality, develop processes, and turn information into useful insights for our asset managers across Council

What you’ll do

  • Maintain and improve asset data quality and performance.
  • Respond to customer and stakeholder requests for asset information.
  • Run and refine asset management models (e.g. PowerPlan) to support decision-making.
  • Provide regular insights on risk, criticality, and performance to asset managers.
  • Document and update asset management processes and workflows.
  • Support the integration and improvement of digital solutions for asset management.

 

Ngā Pukenga | What you’ll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring

  • A relevant degree (Business, ICT, Geography, or Engineering).
  • 8+ years’ experience with asset management systems and databases.
  • GIS skills and strong geospatial accuracy.
  • Experience with asset modelling tools (e.g. PowerPlan) and the ability to explain technical info in simple terms.
  • Confidence documenting processes, testing solutions, and working with Digital Services and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Accela or other asset management systems is a plus.
