Te Tūranga | About the role 

As a ​Asset Planning Engineer – Three Waters and Sustainability & Waste​ you’ll be responsible for the whole of life planning requirements for assets through: 

• Reviewing and updating of 3Waters Asset Management Plans 

• Renewals forecasting and planning for 3Waters network assets 

• Identify and implement asset management improvement actions 

• Facilitation of workgroups and project teams to achieve asset management objectives 

Ngā Pukenga | What you’ll need to succeed 

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring: 

• Asset management training and background (degree) preferrable 

• Basic to good understanding of asset management planning principles and concepts covered in ISO55000 standard and IIMM (International Infrastructure Management Manual) 

• Technical writing and updating of asset management plans and documents 

• Ability to analyse numbers and statistics and to convert data into information for decision making 

• Navigating databases and GIS information systems to collate information about assets 

• Systematic investigation of assets management concepts for improvement and new technologies
