To support our city’s growth and ensure safe, high-quality development, we’re expanding our Building Services team. If you're a qualified and experienced Building Inspector looking for a fresh opportunity, we’d love to hear from you.

As a Building Control Officer – Inspections, you’ll carry out on-site inspections to ensure buildings meet the requirements of the Building Act 2004. You’ll also provide practical advice to customers and complete the required documentation and reporting.

You'll be part of a supportive and knowledgeable team that values your expertise. We offer a competency-based pay system, meaning your salary increases as your competency level grows. Ngā Pukenga | What you’ll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, you'll bring;

· A Regulation 18 qualification under the Building (Accreditation of Building Consent Authorities) Regulations 2006

· A current residential 3 or commercial 2 competency (or both).

· Proven experience in building inspections

· Strong understanding of building codes, compliance, and regulatory frameworks

· Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal

· A practical, customer-focused approach to problem solving

· The ability to work independently and make sound decisions on-site
