What you’ll be part of:
- Integral part of the Executive Leadership team in our new organisation
- Prioritising contributing to the establishment of the new Water Organisation
- Leading the Māori and iwi partnership strategy for a new water organisation
- Providing trusted advice to the Chief Executive and Executive Leadership Team
- Embedding Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Te Mana o te Wai into water services delivery
- Building strong, enduring relationships with iwi, hapū and Māori communities
- Influencing major infrastructure, planning and environmental programmes
- Strengthening organisational capability to engage confidently with Māori partners
Ngā Pukenga | What you’ll need to succeed

You’ll also have:
- Extensive senior leadership experience (10+ years) in complex organisations
- Proven experience working with iwi, hapū, tangata whenua or Māori communities
- Strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its practical application
- Sound knowledge of Te Mana o te Wai and mātauranga Māori
- Demonstrated ability to provide strategic advice to senior leaders and governance
