Te Tūranga | About the role
As a Mechanical Engineer: Maintenance you’ll be responsible for the effective, and efficient maintenance management, renewals and minor capex works for the mechanical assets of the City Waters activities, which includes three water treatment plants, two wastewater treatment plants and about 180 wastewater pumping stations.
Some of the key deliverables are:
- Efficient Contract Management
- Improve asset reliability and resilience through sound asset management, maintenance strategy and schedules and utilising the system to analyse performance and set standards
- Successful project delivery through effective Project Management
- Provide Operational Support, technical advice and assistance when required.
Ngā Pukenga | What you’ll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
- BE (mechanical) or equivalent.
- At least 10 - 15 years of mechanical operations, maintenance or design experience which includes process control, production deadlines, asset management and personnel management.
- Excellent relationship building experience.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to say no nicely.
- Contract management experience
