Te Tūranga | About the role
We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Rating and Banking Systems Specialist to join our Finance team. This role is central to supporting and optimising our rating, billing, banking, and collections systems—primarily within SAP. You’ll work closely with internal teams and our Digital group to ensure smooth operations, accurate reporting, and continuous improvement of our systems and processes.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead and manage key rating and billing processes in SAP
- Provide database and business process support to the Rating, Banking and Collections team
- Deliver training, workshops, and customer engagement initiatives
- Offer business advice and analysis to team leaders and staff
- Conduct rates modelling and reporting
- Perform detailed system analysis to ensure accurate outputs for ratepayers
- Support value-for-money reporting and benefit tracking across finance initiatives
Ngā Pukenga | What you’ll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
- A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in database operations or billing systems
- 5+ years’ experience in business analysis and database management
- Proven expertise in billing and banking systems, ideally within ERP and BI environments
- Strong analytical skills and experience in generating insights and reports
- Ability to provide clear advice and reporting to management and governance
