As we continue to evolve our SAP landscape and invest in future capability, we are looking for experienced SAP Functional Specialists to join our Digital Solutions team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a complex and diverse SAP environment where you will have the ability to influence solutions, optimise business processes, and contribute to the future direction of our digital platforms.

We are seeking four SAP Functional Specialists to strengthen capability across a broad range of SAP disciplines. We are not looking for individuals who know everything. Instead, we are looking for specialists who bring deep expertise in their field and enjoy collaborating with colleagues, business stakeholders, vendors, and delivery partners to achieve exceptional outcomes.

• Finance (FICO), Procurement and Project Accounting
• Public Sector Collection & Disbursement (PSCD)
• Real Estate Management (REFX)
• SAP SuccessFactors
• SAP Service Cloud, Business Technology Platform (BTP) and Integration Suite
• Other SAP S/4HANA functional modules

What You will Be Doing

As an SAP Functional Specialist, you will use your functional expertise to support, enhance, and optimise SAP solutions within your area of specialisation.

You will:

• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and identify improvement opportunities.
• Translate business needs into practical and sustainable SAP solutions.
• Configure, test, implement, and support SAP functionality and enhancements.
• Assist with projects, system improvements, and business process optimisation initiatives.
• Provide specialist advice and support within your area of SAP expertise.
• Troubleshoot issues and work collaboratively to resolve complex business and system challenges.
• Partner with vendors, implementation partners, and internal teams to deliver successful outcomes.
• Contribute to solution documentation, standards, testing, and continuous improvement activities.
• Share knowledge and collaborate with colleagues to support effective service delivery.

Ngā Pukenga | What you’ll need to succeed

We are looking for professionals with strong SAP functional expertise, a customer-focused mindset, and a passion for delivering effective business solutions.

You will bring:

• Proven experience in one or more SAP modules, platforms, or business domains.
• Experience working as an SAP Functional Specialist, Functional Consultant, or similar role within a complex environment.
• Strong business analysis, requirements gathering, and solution design skills.
• The ability to build positive working relationships with business and technical stakeholders.
• Experience delivering system enhancements, projects, or process improvement initiatives.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a practical approach to identifying sustainable solutions.
• A collaborative working style and a willingness to share knowledge and support team success.

Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP cloud solutions, integrations, Agile delivery practices, public sector organisations, or large-scale enterprise environments would be advantageous.
