Te Tūranga | About the role

This role will lead our Council Property and Leasing team to ensure the best use of Council real estate, maximizing revenue and delivering exceptional customer service and great community outcomes.   The role will leverage industry best practices, effective negotiation and customer relationship strategies to enhance portfolio performance and achieve council objectives.

You will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of commercial, residential, and community leases and licenses, leading a team of lease and property management specialists and support staff. Your extensive knowledge of leasing and property portfolio management, combined with your excellent team leadership and relationship skills, will be crucial in navigating the complexities of a multi-stakeholder environment.

Ngā Pukenga | What you’ll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring;

• Tertiary level qualification Property Management, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field
• Proven experience and knowledge of leasing & property management industry
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
• Strong background in portfolio management and reporting within a complex stakeholder environment
• Experience working in both private and public sector property management would be preferred
