Te Tūranga | About the role
We're on the lookout for an innovative creative and forward-focused Team Leader to head our Transport Planning team. This team plays a pivotal role in shaping transport initiatives by defining project scopes, identifying innovative solutions, and exploring investment pathways. Your mission is to lead the strategic functions of Transport Planning, Investment, and Modelling—ensuring every project is thoughtfully developed before moving to the Delivery team, supported by robust business case processes including option development and evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead a team of high-performing technical individuals to deliver a wide range of transport projects.

Be an integral part of the Transport Strategy and Assurance leadership team, shaping the future of our transport network.

Leverage available funding stacks to support the prioritisation of a diverse portfolio of transport projects.

Provide oversight to ensure our projects promote an integrated, safe, sustainable, and efficient transport system.

Work actively with internal and external partners to align projects with community and business needs.
