Te Tūranga | About the role

We are dedicated to maintaining and enhancing public facilities in Tauranga, ensuring they are safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing for our community.

The Foreperson will oversee a team of three skilled handypeople, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently, on time and to the required standards.  A large component of this role will be to manage inventory, order supplies and allocate costings for jobs. 

Ngā Pukenga | What you’ll need to succeed

• Proven experience and knowledge of building maintenance and repair techniques
• Competency using relevant software including Excel
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and execute projects and tasks efficiently
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• A track record of applying common sense and logic to decision making
