Operator - Roadside Mowing (Multiple roles)
Te Tūranga | About the role
Due to in-housing we are on the lookout for experienced Operators to perform routine roadside mowing across out great city. These roles are physically demanding and relentless, the grass is always growing!
We have a variety of opportunities within the team including operating a Tractor - Reach Mower, Tractor - Flail Mower, LHD Truck Edger and ATV/ LUV.
We also have roles focused on mowing berms using an out-front, weed eating, mobile edging, knapsack spraying of pest plants, removal of rubbish and low-level traffic management.
Our preference is for people that are flexible and multiskilled, people that are all about the team achieving their objectives. If you are interested in any of these options, please apply and we can discuss at interview.
Team hours of operation: 6am to 2.30pm Monday to Friday. You will be working a minimum of 40 hours per week, however flexibility is a must as there is often overtime available which could mean longer weekdays or weekends.
Ngā Pukenga | What You’ll Bring
- Experience in roadside mowing or similar driving commercial ride-ons.
- Proven ability to deliver a high-quality service. Taking pride in your work.
- Proven ability to follow instructions and work plans.
- Full and Clean Class 1 NZ Drivers licence.
- Ability and willingness to use mobile phone and app technology including GIS maps, work tracking. This is a core requirement of the role.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to listen and learn.
- A track record in being reliable and committed to your work.
- The ability to abide by Health and Safety guidelines at all times., a traffic Management qualification is a bonus.
- Be physically fit and enjoy working outdoors.
