Te Tūranga | About the role
As a Parking Officer you'll be responsible for ensuring compliance with the city's parking restrictions and use of special vehicle lanes, and they also encourage compliance with national rules around vehicle licencing and warrants of fitness, so vehicles are being used safely.
This role includes:
- Build successful relationships within the community
- Encourage vehicle turnover
- Manage illegal parking
- Promote road safety
This role will include working weekends as part of your normal work pattern with four day work weeks optional.

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
- Conflict resolution skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous enforcement experience (preferred, but not essential)
- Resilience
- Strong interpersonal skills
- The ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a diverse team
- The ability to use devices and digital platforms
