Te Tūranga | About the Role

This is a fixed-term role through to June 2026, offering a great opportunity to contribute to meaningful change and support our team on a journey of growth and innovation.

As a Communications Officer in our Regulatory and Compliance Team, you’ll lead the coordination and delivery of our regulatory newsletters, manage social media content, and provide reporting and analytics on our external communications. You’ll also create new content and support proactive opportunities as they arise.

A focus of this role will be supporting the team in adopting effective use of co-pilot to deliver efficiencies and improve how we communicate. You’ll work closely with team members—sometimes one-on-one—to encourage consistent, high-quality messaging and help develop communication strategies that connect with both internal and external audiences.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Producing internal and external newsletters
  • Responding to media requests
  • Managing Regulatory and Compliance-specific Facebook pages
  • Supporting the team with AI tool adoption and use
  • Helping improve regulatory reporting by updating templates and supporting their adoption
  • Encouraging consistent and effective communication across the team

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in communications or a related field
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail
  • Confidence using social media platforms and digital tools
  • Experience using AI tools to support communication workflows
  • Ability to support others in adopting new tools and approaches
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to manage competing priorities
