Te Tūranga | About the role
We have 2 vacancies available in our newly established Traffic Managment team. As a City Ops TMO, you must be deeply committed to safety—your own, your team’s, and the communities. Our TM team is unlike any other as at times you may provide support to other City Ops teams, this may include gardening, mowing, weed whacking and other tasks during quite times. It’s all about being flexible and collaborative so the entire City Ops team delivers what they need to!
Key Responsibilities:
· Deliver safe, effective traffic management operations across a variety of mobile and static work sites
· Manage lane closures, detours, flagging, footpath and freeway closures, and a range of other traffic control setups
· Core hours of operation are: 6am to 2.30pm Monday to Friday. Working a minimum of 40 hours per week, however flexibility is a must between 5am and 8pm as there is often work that falls out of the core hours. Weekend work may also be required
· Collaborate with other teams to provide additional work force at times
Ngā Pukenga | What you’ll need to succeed
· An absolute passion for safety!
· Full, clean NZ Driver’s Licence (Class 1 essential; Class 2 preferred)
· Previous relevant experience of 1 – 2 years
· Hold a TMO Worker ticket or equivalent is preferred
· Great attitude and communication skills
· Solid tech skills (mobile phone/ ipad/ apps)
· Reliable and well-organised
· Honest and reliable
