Walkways Maintenance Operator

We’re looking for a motivated individual to join our City Operations Team, responsible for maintaining over 120km of walkways and tracks – including much-loved locations such as Mauao, McLaren Falls Park, and many other paths and tracks throughout Tauranga, Mount Maunganui, and Papamoa.

Te Tūranga | About the role

This is a physically demanding, hands-on role that requires energy, initiative, and a strong work ethic. You’ll be part of a team that takes pride in keeping our natural spaces clean, safe, and enjoyable for all.

Key Responsibilities:

· Operating weed eaters and other equipment

· Cutting back vegetation along tracks and walkways

· Removal of rubbish and general tidying

· Blowing and raking debris

Ngā Pukenga | What you’ll need to succeed

· Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team

· Reliable and punctual

· Physically fit and prepared to work hard in outdoor conditions

· Willing to learn, take direction, and show initiative

· Full NZ Drivers licence.

· Ability and willingness to use mobile phone and work based apps. This is a core requirement of the role.

Work Schedule:

· Hours: 7:00am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

· Full-time: 40 hours per week
